Call for Presenters and Workshop Leaders!
Transgender 2009, the Liberty Conference, is seeking proposals for presentations and workshops. We expect our attendees to cover the range of transgender expression — from part-time crossdressers to those living full-time in their new role —

and include FtM and MtF persons, plus friends, families, and professionals. Your program may be meant for all of us, or have a narrower focus. We welcome any ideas for good programs, but these are some themes we hope to explore:
- Developing skills to increase acceptance in appearance, speech, and behavior
- Health, Medical, and Legal Concerns
- Discussions of family, work place, and in-public issues
- Relationship issues — with sessions for couples, partners of TGs, TGs with partners, and TGs currently without partners
The program committee is especially open to
new ideas,
new topics, and
new faces!
Please submit your proposal as soon as possible, but no later than
October 31, 2008. Space and schedule availability may be limited. Use the online
Program Proposal Form.
A good, short, punchy program title will be to your advantage. Proposals must include a short presenter biography and any A/V needs. For panel discussion programs, the moderator should submit the proposal and include the names, pertinent information (as to addresses, etc.), and short biographies of the panel members. If panelist information is omitted from this initial proposal it can not be included in the conference program book. You will receive a complimentary conference day (not including evening meals and activities) for each program you present or panel you moderate. For registered attendees, a $30 discount will be given.
If you have questions regarding your proposal, contact Alison Laing at
alng@mindspring.com or at P.O. Box 473, Portsmouth, RI 02871-0475.
