IFGE Annual Conference Scholarships

Scholarship funds are provided by the many conference attendees who include a donation over and above the cost of their conference registration. (The conference registration form includes a line for indicating the amount of one's donation.) Scholarship funds are limited to the amount contributed by conference attendees and are disbursed on an as-needed, first-come, first-approved basis.

Scholarships may be for a full or partial registration at the conference. Scholarships do not include allowances for travel, hotel rooms, or meals other then those included in the conference registration package.

To qualify for a conference scholarship, you must send a letter with a conference registration form attached, at least 60 days before the conference, stating the specific amount desired and a statement of need for the scholarship. Reasons may include such things as working part time while going to school, chronic unemployment because of gender discrimination, disability, etc.

To qualify for an educational student scholarship, you must be a full time student. Educational scholarships provide a 50% reduction in the full-fee registration rate. The student is responsible for the other 50% of the registration fee. To apply, complete the regular conference registration form, attach a copy of your student ID card, and send it to the conference registrar 60 days prior to the conference. Applications for scholarships will not be accepted from those registering on-site at the conference.
