Conference Entertainment

Friday night brings a choice — sit back and enjoy the show, or enjoy it even more by being in the show!

We're producing our own spectacular Transgender Talent Show!, and every conference attendee is invited (and encouraged!) to take part. You'll never find a friendlier audience, so whether you're a seasoned performer or taking your first steps on stage, this is a great opportunity to shine.

All types of acts are welcome — musical, comical, magical, theatrical, or what-have-you. Make sure to bring your music, instruments, costume, and/or props to the conference; and practice practice practice! Check out the conference schedule for sign-up and rehearsal sessions.

This year, we're thrilled to have Albany's Jaye Mcbride hosting our Friday night fete. Jaye is a professional comedian who has performed at Caroline's in NYC and the Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. She can be seen all over the capital district and is the co-producer of the monthly 'Laughs on Lark' show at Elda's on Lark.
Saturday night, the Banquet Gala entertainment is provided by acclaimed singer, actress and comedienne Laura Roth. Heralded by critics as Public Energy Number One, Laura Roth has worked with major stars in clubs and off-Broadway in Manhattan, hosted her own public radio show, and is already booked for dozens of one-woman shows from Rhode Island to Florida in 2011. Her shows include moving and hilarious homages (and send-ups) to the likes of Judy Garland, Tina Turner, Connie Francis, Marilyn Monroe, and many, many more that bring the house down wherever she performs.
